NRCS PROJECTS & PROGRAMS
The Ekalaka NRCS Staff has been busy and continues to be assisting the producers with resource improvements to the farm and ranch units in Carter County. The current programs are listed below.
The NRCS Staff and a local producer planted over 4100 trees this 2007 spring season. This effort is part of a WHIP Project. This project is to enhance wildlife habitat. We just went out and visited the tree sites and this is how the trees and wildlife plantings are looking.
