Workshops
The Conservation District sponsored training for two individuals who are interested in helping preserve heritage apple orchards established by homesteaders a century ago. These orchards have endured through harsh winters and hot summers. These videos describe the process.

Tree Program

Tree orders for spring planting can be taken any time now. The order form is available for download here or are available in the office. The order form will be edited as we receive the tree availability list. If there is something that is not on the list, please call the office to see if it might be available at another nursery.

STORAGE RECOMMENDATIONS OF BAREROOT TREES

  • Keep cool (35 – 50 degrees Fahrenheit)
  • Monitor for dry roots, keep moist with mulch over roots or in boxes as provided
  • Provide air flow
  • Plan to plant within 3 weeks of tree delivery; the sooner the better!
