2027 tree season will be upon us soon! If you have a large shelterbelt or renovation planned, please come and see us! We need to order fabric and staples so we would like some idea of new plantings and requirements. The nurseries will be sending out their tree lists soon. An order form and tree information will be posted later this fall.
Shelterbelts and trees are a popular prgoram for the District. Producers are able to order trees at reasonable prices and receive assistance from NRCS and District staff to plant and lay fabric. Ordering takes place starting in late fall, with delivery in early May.
Tree and shrub spacing is important for you to know when ordering trees. General guidelines are included below but please consult NRCS or the conservation district for more details on spacing and windbreak design.
